Adding Exercise in Your Down Time

Adding exercise in your down time can be difficult in your busy schedule to fit in a workout. Fortunately, there are some simple things you can do to sneak in a decent workout here and there. All without having to step into the gym. Of course, you’ll still need to keep up with your New Jersey physical training to continue making progress. These exercise tips work best when they are also combined with the tips provided by your New Jersey personal trainer.

This begins by starting your day off right. Take a moment to look at yourself in the mirror. Facing the mirror, work on improving your posture. Have your shoulders retracted in a correct position, point your chin upwards and be sure you have your pelvis in a neutral position. Doing this will help build your core muscles and improve the health of your back.

While you are brushing your teeth, you are committed to a period of time to get them nice and clean. Throw in some squats while you are brushing and flossing. This will help you get a workout in without having to take any extra time away from your busy schedule. You can even stand on one leg and then switch if you prefer while combing your hair for some added fitness.

As part of your New Jersey physical training, you’ll be told about how important stretching can be. Because of that, you should take the time to incorporate it into your schedule. This can be as simple as sitting at your desk and doing hand, arm, leg and foot stretches while you are working. That way, you get paid to do your job while improving your health at the same time.

If you take business calls on your cell phone, take that as a sign it is time to get up and move around. For calls that aren’t confidential, walk around the building while you take them. If you are confined to your office, walk back and forth in the room and try to build up the number of steps you are taking in a day.

With a little effort on your part, you can get in some additional exercise during the day and have it fit your schedule in between the times you are working out with your New Jersey personal trainer.
