Did you know that your BODY doesn’t only burn one specific source of fuel when you work out. It burns both fat and carbohydrates every time. When you perform an anaerobic movement like weight training, your body is burning more carbohydrates than fats because they can be broken down faster. However, when you are sitting in a chair, your body can be burning an equal amount of both or even possibly more FAT. That is not to say that you burn more calories by sitting in a chair over weight training, instead it means that you will use a higher percentage of fat over carbs in different situations.
