Let’s take a look at a situation where you are going to bend over to pick up a box. Into that equation, let’s say you have a bad lower back because you’ve injured it before. If you have not been strengthening your core, ALL of the pressure will go on your lower back and YOU WILL re-injure yourself!
Now, if you had been doing exercises for your abdominals, they would have been there to assist you in that movement. Also, strengthening your lower back with exercises such as deadlifts, hyperextensions, and supermans will strengthen the fascia in the lower back.
