Listen To Your Body

It’s a simple, no brainer tip but you can’t even imagine how little people listen to this simple tip. Listening to your body is one of the best tips a trainer can possibly offer you! Here’s a few examples that you can use in your life.

1. Today you feel tired, weaker, and something just might not feel right. You also just started your grueling workout for the day. So what do you do? The answer is that you LISTEN TO YOUR BODY, take it easier today, and maybe work more on volume(more sets) while using lighter weight than normal. Sometimes your joints, or your muscles – whatever the case may be – need it.

2. Today you simply don’t feel like doing your workout. This can go one of two ways. If you’ve been training hard the last few weeks, maybe you just need a day off and this is what your body is telling you. The other scenario is you performing your workout regardless of what you THINK and end up feeling THAT MUCH BETTER after you sweat and your muscles ache. Sometimes we feel sluggish and simply out of it. That would be a case to conquer mind over matter!

It’s good to let your body rest when it tells you, but to also not confused laziness with a need for rest!
