There is a very big reason that candy is so bad for you. Candy is almost entirely made of some type of sugar. Your body uses sugar very quickly because it enters the blood stream very quickly. When this happens, the pancreas releases insulin to regulate this sugar spike. This promotes your body to store much of the candy as fat.
So let’s talk about gum. Gum has sugar alcohols in it. As of right now, studies are not conclusive as to whether or not sugar alcohol raises your blood sugar levels or generates an insulin spike. Chewing gum can help you have something sweet for an extended period of time while keeping yourself slim. When it comes to fat loss, this is an important addition to your meal plan so as to cut down on insulin spikes and high blood sugar levels.
