What this means to you is that your back can and will respond better to higher repetition rates. Slow twitch muscle fibers are used more-so for duration and endurance. Marathon running is an example. They are NOT explosive like the fast twitch muscle fibers and can continue to be used without exhaustion for a good amount of time. The back contains more slow twitch muscle fibers simply because it those posterior muscles that are responsible for maintaining your posture.
