Aerobic training is defined as you exercising in the presents of oxygen. In other words, your body must recruit more of your slow twitch muscle fibers in order to prepare for training that isn’t very explosive; training that is performed over the duration of time.
Marathon running along with most other types of cardiovascular training are aerobic. This type of training is very good for the body because it keeps your heart healthy. Your heart must pump out and deliver oxygenated blood to various organs, which makes it work that much better.
