1. Eat more during the day. If you feel like you have to snack all night look at what you are eating during the day. Are you filling yourself up with plenty of vegetables, lean protein and complex carbohydrates. If you are starving yourself during the day then of course you will want to snack all night. Try and balance your eating out during the day.
2. Break habits. If your nighttime ritual includes watching TV and snacking, with numerous trips from the couch to the refrigerator it is time to break this habit. Changing habits take some time so be patient and come up with a plan.
3. Find something else to do. Instead of your usual routine of snacking all night out of habit and boredom find something else to do. Go for a walk, take a bath, read a book, find a hobby. Do something to take your mind off of wanting to snack.
4. Prepare healthy snacks. While you are breaking your habit of snacking at night prepare healthy snacks like veggie slices, frozen berries, have your cocoa drink or sip on BCAAs.
