Anaerobic Training

Anaerobic Training, unlike aerobic is a bit different. For anaerobic training you DO NOT need the use of oxygen. Furthermore, anaerobic training recruits more of your fast twitch muscle fibers. What this means is that you can perform burst movements, which can only be sustained for a short amount of time.

Examples of anaerobic training include sprinting and weight lifting. Studies have been performed to show how bursts of sprinting and also interval training can help in burning fat while using minimal protein/muscle storages for energy. During this type of training, your body doesn’t become as blushed or beat red in the face because it lacks the presence of large amounts of oxygen.
